    who views, or experiences it. This is especially true of the conflict between the Palestinian people and the people of Israel. Two leading experts on this dispute are Samuel Huntington  and Jay Rothman, who each have their own perspective on the question of conflict resolution, and how they expect their personal strategy to succeed. Todays perception of the Palestinian people  is that of homeless nomads, terrorists, angry, swarthy, with a bent for destruction and chaos. But, one only needs to look back as far as the early 1900s to see  that it was Israel, not Palestine that were without a homeland. In fact, much of the hostility that exists between these two peoples stems from the fact that they have  warred over the same piece of territory generation after generation. It can be said that when a nationality is permeated by a hatred that has become cultural, there can be  no other result than that of continual war and struggle. And, the dispute over the land is more than a battle for real estate, it is a war between  ideologies, beliefs, and allegiances. In fact, the struggle between Israel and the Palestinians is more than just a war. Both groups still lay claim to Jerusalem. In fact, if  this war between the two peoples were just about land, the Arabs have many surrounding Arab nations to which they could turn to for donated land, or a like ideology.  Instead, it is more than a battle about real estate, it is a holy war of religions and philosophies. Since September of 2000, the tensions have escalated into terrorist activity  by the Palestinians against the Israeli people, including car bombs, suicide attackers, and random sniping.
