This 5 page essay is a satirical
replication of Jonathan Swift's A Modest Proposal with the exception
that the proposal is to provide the modern city with an end to public
drunkenness and a certain number of homeless indigents. An idyllic
center for the voluntary euthanasia of elderly alcoholics is proposed.
