    the towers after terrors flew passenger planes into them and cause the death of thousands as well as the collapse of the buildings. This has spread fear and concern in  the air passenger traffic of the world. Airlines have suffered massive decreases since these events of September the 11th 2001. It is this event that is widely perceived as  being the beginning of troubles for many airlines and causing the collapse of other. One of these is Swissair. However, when we look at the problem we see that this  perception may have been wrong. The World Trade Centre disaster Centre impacted on business and made it more difficult but we can argue in the case of Swiss Air the  major impact was to speed up the inevitable collapse of the ailing company. The company officially collapsed on the 2nd of October 2001, it was in this day  that the fleet of aircraft were grounded and the bankruptcy was announced (Kirby, 2001). The feeling in Switzerland at this was one of anger at the banks for refused to  bail the company out in time and one of disappointment with the government. However, the issue we shall consider will not be the way in which the company should have  been bailed out, but the way that the company had failed to be as commercially successful as was needed, and as was presented to the public. The airline is  again flying, with two thirds of the fleet back in the air and a rescue package put together to keep the airline going, but there is little certainty at to  the future of the airline and if it will be able to continue flying. When we look at this case we can see that in many ways the company
