of exports. The democratic nature of the country and modernization to ensure that it remains competitive means that this is a potentially lucrative market if the firm is able to

known as the Pescadores. In historical terms this was inhabited by people of Malay-Polynesian origin (Chiautong, 1973). The language and culture is highly aligned with the traditional Chinese values due

Republic of China (ROC). In China the communist party was rising to power. In 1949 the communist party established its own political regime in called the Peoples Republic of China
