    and talented, but they are also stubborn. A team is formed but it does not work. Glen Collins is imported from New York and presented with the problem of making  the team work. The case study begs the question: What can Glen Collins do to create an amicable team when the members are often at odds? Glen Collins, it  seems, has always relied on his raw management talent and was responsible for motivated, like minded people when he was in New York. A trip to the midwest and a  new position has rendered him essentially powerless to get the company moving forward. In examining the details of the case study, and then looking at management theory in respect to  team dynamics, it is possible for the situation to be resolved. Obviously, all problems are resolvable, even if it means excessing a team member. Of course, that is only a  last resort and when Glen applies theory to the case, it seems that the impossible can materialize. II. The Situation: Case Study Summary The case study submitted  by a student involves a man named Glen Collins who originally worked in the fast paced New York City world with a lot of motivated employees. He accepted a job  and moved to a small town company named GlassWorks. The company is a family-owned enterprise that turns out items like ashtrays, wine goblets, and beer steins, and has  been a successful enterprise for 80 years. This smaller domain housed executives all want to make changes to beat new competitors are constantly fighting. Glen is frustrated. One  of the employees named Jim suggests that Glen is not a team player and says to him: "Leaders lead, followers . . . please pipe down!" Several months
