when developing an approach to studying the center. In addition, the effort to understand the purpose of the center and the ability to meet the Centers own goals and
objectives are central to the approach of this study. The Purpose of the Study The purpose of this study is to determine the efficacy of the Touro Hospitals Wellness
Center. The concept of efficacy relates both to efficiency and effectiveness. In essence, the conceptual view of efficacy requires an understanding of the goals and objectives of the
Touro Hospitals Wellness Center. The Centers efficacy, then, is judged by determining whether the Center meets its own goals and objectives in an efficient and effective manner.
The purpose of this study is to use a variety of forms of data, including patient information, structured interviews, outcome assessments, and anecdotal information to determine if the goals and
objectives of the Center are being met. In particular, elements like patient outcomes, group goals, and service objectives are all factors that would be considered as a part of
this study. The Goals and Objectives for the Study The following are the major goals and objectives for the study:
