    that media is only interested in doing its job. Although American media really should be a tool of the government as it wages war on other nations and factions around  the world, it seems that globalization had rendered all media less American and more diverse. Still, it is hard to argue that media has not taken sides. After all, it  stopped running commercials for several days after 911 and it is decidedly sympathetic to U.S. concerns. At the same time, news reporters are interested in getting the story and there  are also many in the media who are rather liberal. They grill government representatives to reveal possible secrets and maneuvers that might be used in an attack in the Middle  East. Some try to gain sympathy for the other side in order to avert a war it does not want. They may drag in retired Generals for example, and talk  about tactics that could be used in a future war. What they do not realize--or they do but do not care--is that by talking up what might be done to  the other side, they provide terrorists with information that can be used against the United States. The United States is an open book. Throughout the world  today, organizations that oppose the U.S. can find almost anything about what the military or the government is doing or planning. The media is largely to blame for this,  but organizations can use the medias information to counter the next move of the United States and also to use the media as a propaganda tool. Other nations do  this and it is common knowledge. One only has to look at al-Jazeera to see that it is so. In fact, the controlled and official state media in Saudi Arabia
