    there are two targets, the need to identify a potential auricle to hear a youth music groups when the travel to the US, and secondly the potential parties that may  be willing to sponsor that trip. In a fictional survey that has been undertaken it is possible to identify the different variables which will be of interest to the band.  In knowing where those with the correct variables live and their habits it is possible to market to them, either the tour tickets or to approach them for sponsorship.  There are several different categories that need to be examined. These can be considered individually. To start using any data there needs to be some basic criteria set down,. As  one of the important items for the band will be the location of the potential tour areas, the data used will need to be sorted geographically. This will mean that  data should be sorted by both state and also town or nearest town. When it is considered that the entire UK is slightly smaller than the State of Oregon (CIA,  2003), the importance of this factor can be appreciated. The geographic location may be used to group survey respondents with similar profiles together. The importance of this variable means  it should be present at the beginning, but will not be used until the analysis of the results. There are also other categories that need to be considered. The  type of music that is preferred is may be of benefit both in identifying a potential audiences as well as in the way the music is put tighter. The band  that will be travelling to the United States has a wide variety of music, from a Caribbean steel drums to jazz and rock. By identifying the tastes of music the
