can a toddler come into contact with so many various stimulants of creativity, imagination and maturation than in such a positive environment? However, accompanying this maturation process that incorporates  growth, change and significant mood swings during the toddler stage is an inherent negativity directed toward the childs inability to coordinate his or her movements with intellectual desires. Inasmuch  as toddlers are "long on will and short on skill" (Lopes, 1993, 3), this lopsidedness can create a considerable amount of frustration that is better worked out among ones peers  at daycare. Often misconstrued as acting out, trained and professional daycare workers know that such behavior is merely an expression of the childs own disappointment and failure. These  outbursts of frustration are hard on both the parent and the child, because the parent does not like to see the toddler struggling with his or her independence; for this  reason, daycare helps the child to uncover his or her independent factor along with the parent.
