Introduction In this discussion a text has been selected from the Bible (James 5: 13- 16) to give guidance to the idea, and practice of sacred worship.  The text is examined closely, and personal opinions are given, by the writer. Sacred Text: James 5:13 Is any among you afflicted? let him pray. Is any merry? let  him sing psalms. 14 Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the  name of the Lord: 15 And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be  forgiven him. 16 Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.  The Practice of Worship Is any among you afflicted? let him pray Although you may hear the argument, that one can pray anywhere, as a reason for not attending a  worship service; the reality is that worship with others in a special place begins and completes the full circle of experience with God and encircles the godly nature of like-minded  others. Certainly a four-cylinder car can run on three cylinders; it will not go up hills as fast, or get as good of gas mileage, but it will get you
