Economic Impact of Industrial Pollution in Korea :
10 pages in length. The UN says that trade has the
potential to contribute to the highest possible level of
global sustainable development, but only if social and
environmental aspects are considered along with economic
benefits. Attention has thus increasingly turned to the
significant impacts of trade on the environment. Korea
has the distinction of combining environmental awareness
with common sense and an economic slant; Koreas
approach would seem to represent the best of all worlds.

The Korean War & Trumans Seizure Of US Steel
Mills:
A 25 page research paper. The 1952 Supreme Court case
of Youngstown Sheet & Tube Co. v Sawyer 343 U.S. 579
circumscribed the powers of the presidency for one of the
few times in the history of the United States. Citing both
the fragility of the national economy and the needs of the
fighting troops of the Korean War, President Harry Truman
seized most of the countrys steel mills in an effort to avert
a steelworkers strike that could have put troops in active
warfare in even more danger stemming from a lack of
necessary machinery and materiel. Strikes were
commonplace in 1952 when the Supreme Court determined
that Truman had overstepped the bounds provided for the
presidency by the framers of the Constitution. Other
factors were at play, however, and it appears that not all of
them were taken into account by the Court. Bibliography
