As the concept map developed is not known and the functions have not been specified the concept will be assessed to be simple and  tools what can be used will be those which have a wide range of uses. There are many tools that may be used, however the underlying basis of a  database that will support the information office may be constructed using Access. Microsoft Access has several versions, the most popular is probably Access 2000, the most recent is Access 2002  however, all work within the Windows operating system environment, compatible with Windows 95/97/ME/2000/NT depending on the versions used. Access 97/2000/2002 is a "powerful relational database application with which a desktop  user can efficiently create and manipulate database systems" (Microsoft, 2002). The main group of users for this application are desktop users, such as individuals or small workgroups who use databases  which measure megabytes (Microsoft, 2002). This is an application that will work well as the front and IDE for use in client or server databases (Kaufmann, 2002).Overall functionality is more  than just as a data management application, but also to store procedures, manage table definitions, index and perform other database management systems that are needed for the DBA (Kaufmann,  2002). The graphical interface is designed to be simple  to use, and has a high level of integration with the entire office suite, and has similar functions and style to that of the other applications such as word and
