    is to find a new approach to support both the main brand and Globetrotters sub brands with direct sales and also through the internet. Research is required to find a  new approach that will appeal the companies existing customers as well as attract new customers. The messages need to have a strong strategic fit with the existing messages that are  being communicated though in store displays and with the existing corporate image. The main target of the new campaign will focus on the post Christmas rush to purchase holidays a  period when the media is full of images of warn sandy beaches. The post Christmas period is an intensively competitive period, with a high levels of competitors in the market.  In a depressed market this is the time when there is a need for differentiation in order to maintain and increase market share (Thompson, 1998). This may also be a  time when other companies are weaker, as during harsh economic conditions companies may reduce their marketing budgets, leaving greater opportunities for those that are left. The approach is to  be one with a high level of emotional appeal to the target audience which can be used on a global scale and utilised in a range of media. The research  will need to identify the most approach concept for Globetrotters to use and then test this concept to ensure it has the desired response. This will all need to be  achieved within a set time frame, which will be assumed as three months (13 weeks), from beginning to final presentation. The project will also need to take place within a  set budget. As the conditions are harsh this budget is being allocated from the continuous survey budge for the year.
