The market is also a good international market, in 2004 the UK the hair care market is  worth US $1.5 billion (?1.4 billion) ad in 2004 grew at a rate of 6.4% and projected to grow by 25.6% by 2009 (Euromonitor, 2005). This is a market that  is segmented into a range of products ion a fragmented market and many products appealing to those who care about their appearance (Euromonitor, 2005). Within this market hair colorants are  increasing, not only for the traditional colours, but for more fashionable uses, such as coloured streaks and colours that can reflect personality. This has also lead to an increase in  the use of temporary hair colours as users want to change the appearance of their hair more often or want to try out a colour or effect before making it  permanent. Until now the main choice for those wanting a very short term effect has been the use of a dye which  will take several washes to be removed or a spay on colour. The very short term dyes have a constrained use and users can only to use a range of  products based on their hair colour and need to accept that they are likely to have the colour for a week or more.  The use of spray colours is also increasing, but these can prove difficult as spaying a colour leads to potential in accurate application and even the inhaling of  the colour particles. Due to the style of application this type of colour comes off easily, this can mean the colour comes off during the same night it was
