When we consider  the way in which the European Union is administered and the ideas of both subsidiarity and proportionality, it is apparent that for most sectors of ERU law it is necessary  that the nation state be able to administer the laws as is fitting with their own legal instruments and cultural applications. As long as the end result is in line  with the EU regulations, then the method of implementation is down to the nation states. There are also many issues, especially when it comes to business law and the way  it is regulated, that are appropriate to be considered locally. However, when it comes to competition issues we may start to argue that this is a wider issue, and as  such there is a need for a higher level of community involvement, otherwise the same competition may be regulated in different ways with different margins and standards in each country.  In this we also need to remember that although one of the main purposes there was a desire to create peace, this was achieved through the creation of a trading  zone, where the barrier to trade were to be reduced and then eliminated. If differing countries have different standards or systems then these may be seen as barriers, however, we  also need to consider the role of the commission that undertakes the reviews of the competition law. Here we may argue that  as a result of its standing, not only has it been a source of law but we may argue that in its role it may also be seen to try
