    practical views. Though nursing theorists often present very detailed views of their theories, it is sometimes difficult to understand their application in practical nursing. Often times, practical nursing  is done with such a focus on task completion that theoretical views are rarely applied. Research and research-based analysis provides a means of understanding the progression of nursing activities  relative to the application of theoretical elements. Because of the complex nature of nursing roles, it can be difficult to truly understand the specific factors that influence the success  of nursing-based programming. As a result, the focus of my studies will be on the application of nursing theories and views of practical nursing toward an understanding of a  specific nursing problem. Educational Objectives My educational objectives include both immediate and projected goals that will be shaped and reshaped through the educational process. Initially, my objective  is to learn as much about nursing research and nursing education as I can, with a view of the significance of changing roles for nurses and changing expectations for nursing  professionals. Subsequently, I will also seek to develop a greater understanding of how what I have already learned can be applied to current and future actions as a nurse  leader. Finally, my educational objectives include demonstrating an awareness of and a skill for nursing research, which requires an understanding of theoretical and practical aspects of nursing.  The cultivation of learning that corresponds with views of the workplace setting is one way in which ethics and attitudes are linked and to both educational and career development.  The focus, then, within the educational setting is on motivation and the cultivation of learning as an element of progress, success and personal growth.
